Gardens, Heady Brews
Mr. Shah acquired his first garden -
Nangdala in the Dooars in West Bengal, in 1990. The next
garden purchased was Koilamari Tea Estate belonging to Rossell
Industries in 1999 and since then, the Shah family has learnt
the ropes of Estate Managements and having attained success,
purchased three well known gardens of Williamson Magor i.e.
Gingia, Seajuli and Majuiighur.
Still hungry for opportunities
and success, when industry barons were wanting to sell estates
in 2005, Mr. Shah made a prestigious acquisition, the Jokai group
of seven gardens: Bokel, Muttuck, Hattialli, Panitola, Nalani,
Singlijan and Daisajan.
Koilamari, Majulighur, Nalani,
Nangdala and Singlijan produce quality CTC Teas, with
Singlijan ranking among the best. Singlijan also makes
excellent Orthodox teas.
Gingia and Seajuli have been
awarded Tea Board Certification for many years. Hattialli on
the other hand has been branded internationally. Panitola,
Daisajan, Bokel and Muttuck are very popular marks for many
years for both Premium CTC and Orthodox grades. Panitola Tea
Estate is well known for the Panitola clone P 126A. known for
its chunky golden tip, which is popular in Germany, Dubai,
Iran and Saudi Arabia. Our estates are spread over North Banks
and South Banks of Assam and Dooars' area of West Bengal,
India.
