  Koilamari Tea Estate

Shah acquired this garden from Rossell Industries in 1999, almost a decade after Nangdala.

An estate with quality mark, it enjoys the best of climatic conditions on either bank of the Brahmaputra River: exposure to the south bank climate has resulted in higher production, while the north bank climate has helped achieve premium quality.

New technologies like CTC Machines, Continuous Fermenting Machines (CFMs) and Dryers have helped Koilamari improve the quality of teas. A new saturated turbine, producing captive power to meet the estate’s total electricity needs, is under installation.

The estate has a blend of seed and quality clone plantation, which has helped in production of consistently high standard CTC and Orthodox teas. Today, Koilamari is considered a jewel in the crown of the company.
