The flagship of Jokai CTC teas,
the garden gets its name from the Assamese words
“Hingoolijaan", meaning "river of the Hingooli fish; "Jaan" is
the common Assamese suffix for river.
Singlijan Tea Estate is the baby of the company, with a
planted area of 250 hectares and a crop of over half-a-million
kgs. The garden produces top quality CTC teas that have become
the yardstick for CTC duality in the industry.
So popular have Singlijan CTCs become that at times, the
growing demand from across the world becomes difficult to
cater to.
